 Human-centric factory

Sigma’s Smart factory continues to receive appreciation from industry experts. Mr. Mahajani, CEO of Athena Automation writes his observations after the visit to Sigma’s Smart Factory

Dear MR Shashi Thete,

At the outset let me Thank You for the hospitality extended to me during my visit to Sigma Toolings yesterday.

It indeed was a Great Experience witnessing your Karma 2.0.

There are Very Many Pioneering efforts that have gone in it’s making.

May it be, Automatic Generation of Planning & Rescheduling in case of any unforeseen rejection, Or Automatic Designing Using Parametric Programming Methods are some of the Rare things seen even in Big Corporates, with so many resources at their disposal.

Auto generation of CNC Program and using it Without Any Editing is a feat I guess Only Bharat Forge has attained apart from you. I haven’t seen any other Company Big or Small doing it as a Routine Practice.

But the Most Striking Feature of Karma 2.0 is It’s Human Centric and Completely Transparent to Everybody, from Chairman to Working supervisor and also Dealers and Customers. I haven’t come across any company which is that transparent in it’s dealings.

You have a PMS which has 360 degree feedback, but apart from that, the DSI Process or the Appreciation Process are Unique Features. Another Striking Feature of your PMS is the Feedback that the Assessee get’s From the System as a Scope for Improvement & that is theMain Purpose for which it is used, apart from PMS’s normal application.

I really Appreciate the Transparency that is there in the System. I attribute it to the Core values of Not Just the Company but it’s Top Management. Many times The Value Statement and the Actual Practices differ in a big way in Many Big Companies, It’s Not so here.

In fact I guess the Purpose Statement that has Replaced your Value Statement of the company is the Secret of this.

My Best Wishes to You, Shashi as a person and as Team Leader of Sigma Tools, And to Your EntireTeam of Dedicated Individuals!

Keep up the Good Work!
