Smart Factory vision building workshop series

For the past 5 years, I have been helping fellow Small or Medium Enterprises and Industry 4.0 teams within large enterprises to shape and hone their vision for smart factory. Recently, building on the experience of these informal interactions, I have put together a series of structured workshops to establish the vision of Smart Factory for manufacturing industries. Smart factory is about imagining a new reality, and the workshop series helps to develop a logical process of creating this vision, together as a team. At the end of these workshops, the teams would have built a concrete vision that identifies the before-after scenarios and KPIs for various functions and processes in the smart factory.

I have a first hand experience of the deep and transformative power of a smart factory. In the process, I have also learned from the failures, hurdles and challenges that one faces along the implementation of Smart Factory initiatives. As an expert speaker and facilitator, I enable teams to overcome hurdles, tackle challenges and rise again from their failures to develop the smart factory of their dreams. The intervention includes insight building sessions, motivation and perspective sharing and leading the teams forward by taking collective ownership of their vision. I truly enjoy sharing my learnings and bringing ideas of the teams into reality.

Research studies for smart factory strategy and policy

Sigma’s smart factory is being fast recognised as a case study and lighthouse story for the Indian industry. I am a part of several groups of academicians, business owners and industry associations that are performing research and studies in the smart factory and industry 4.0 space. I also mentor research students and professionals pursuing projects in the smart factory domain. As part of these groups, we regularly contribute to the research and studies and in the form of data and results of Sigma’s ongoing smart factory initiatives.
